What is IR kit?
These kits take the infrared (IR) light signals used by remote controls to send commands to your devices, convert the light into electrical signals that can be sent through walls and doors, and then reconvert them into IR signals that your TV, Blu-ray or cable box can understand.
What does an infrared emitter do?
IR emitters are small wired transmitters for repeating an infrared signal from your remote to an isolated piece of A/V equipment. They are available in single or dual emitter packages with the latter emitting the same signal through two separate housings.
Can I install IR emitter on my phone?
Many Android phones come with an embedded infrared “blaster” that uses the same technology as old-school remotes. All you need to do is download a universal remote app like AnyMote Smart IR Remote, IR Universal Remote or Galaxy Universal Remote to use your phone to control any device that receives an IR signal.

An IR (infrared) repeater is a device that transmits the IR signal from a remote control to somewhere it wouldn’t otherwise be able to reach. If you store equipment in a closed cabinet, or in another room entirely, an IR repeater kit can reproduce the signal there and allow you to keep components hidden.
What is an IR receiver?
An infrared receiver, or IR receiver, is hardware that sends information from an infrared remote control to another device by receiving and decoding signals. In general, the receiver outputs a code to uniquely identify the infrared signal that it receives.
How do I enable IR on my Android?
You can tap Open to launch the app from the Play Store or tap its icon on the app drawer. Select your IR blaster when prompted. The app should ask you to choose your IR blaster the first time you open it. Follow the on-screen instructions to select it and/or grand appropriate permissions.
