What are covered by OHIP?
OHIP covers part or all of the following services:
- visits to doctors.
- hospital visits and stays.
- medical or surgical abortions.
- eligible dental surgery in hospital.
- eligible optometry (eye-health services)
- podiatry (foot-health services)
- ambulance services.
- travel for health services if you live in northern Ontario.
What is no longer covered by OHIP?
The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (OHIP) no longer covers medical services and procedures that they consider medically unnecessary. Patients are therefore required to pay for any such services and procedures that are performed by a physician.
Is OHIP covered in USA?

What does OHIP cover for seniors in Ontario?
