What is LARP foam?
A foam weapon, also known as a boffer, padded weapon, or latex weapon, is a padded mock weapon used for simulated handheld combat. Such weapons are used in simulated battles called battle gaming and in some live action role-playing games (LARPs).
What are LARP weapons made of?
LARP weapons are universally made of some sort of foam, around a fiberglass or composite core made to be rigid but slightly flexible, with the intend of absorbing some of the impact. The most ancient and well known professional sword designs used EVA foam or similar closed cell, dense foams.

Dagorhir is a battle gaming group which is more akin to a wargame than a live-action roleplaying game (LARP). Dagorhir members have stated that they find the phrase “live-action roleplaying game” to be unfitting. Though many members of the community would disagree with this assertion.
