How do I become a Viki Subtitler?

What do Subtitlers do?
Subtitlers make it possible for films to be enjoyed by audiences all over the world and by the deaf and hard of hearing. They translate all the dialogue, music and sound effects of a film into two-line written captions that appear on the screen, either in the language in which the film is made or in a foreign language.
Who subs on Viki?
Subtitles are a service provided by volunteers for everyone being able to view the shows, whether they are free users or vikipass subscribers. Viki provides the platform and the tools, but generally does not take any part in the subbing process, unless there is a specific technical or other issue.
Does Rakuten Viki have English subtitles?
Subtitle language availability on Viki is subjected to licensing terms. Some shows permit English subtitles only, and as a result, we cannot support other language subtitles on those. Find all the shows available in your preferred subtitle language by filtering by subtitle availability on the Explore page.

What is a QC on Viki?
Qualified Contributors, or QCs, are Viki’s most active and supportive community members! QCs are given the tools to contribute more of their great skills and knowledge to Viki. You can be a QC Trainee, QC or Gold QC, based on your contribution amount. All QCs get special perks on Viki.

How do I add subtitles to Rakuten?
To do this you have to click on the bubble button on the bar that you will find on the lower part of the screen. All available audio and subtitles options will show up. Remember to click on Continue after choosing.
Does Viki have English audio?
Viki is available in English, French, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Italian and German.
Are Viki translations good?
Between the two, I prefer watching on Viki. Rakuten Viki offers better translations, no cut scenes, and some free dramas. Netflix has a different style of translations, that isn’t appealing to Korean Drama viewers especially the ones who have been watching dramas on the long run. Netflix also tends to cut some scenes.
