Does Aer Lingus accept Visa debit?
A credit or debit card is required to make a booking through the Aer Lingus website. We currently accept Access, Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Universal Air Travel Card, Solo, Switch, Delta and Lastschriftverfahen (ELV) cards.

Is Amex accepted in Ireland?
Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted throughout the island of Ireland; American Express is accepted in some places but not all. Credit cards can be used for purchases and also to withdraw cash from ATMs (although this usually is accompanied by a fee).
Can I book flight tickets with credit card?
Payment for online bookings can be made through credit cards, debit cards, internet banking (direct debit) as specified below. Payment for online booking is accepted by all Master and VISA Credit Cards.
Is my holiday protected if I pay by debit card?
The protection applies even if you’ve only made a part-payment on the credit card – a deposit, for example. It won’t apply if you pay by debit card. Section 75 protection also might not apply to a holiday bought through a travel agent which is ATOL protected.

How do I get American Express card in Ireland?
If you really need an Amex the only way is to get it via a bank which issues them directly or via a secure program and then after at least 6-month attempt to get an international currency card from Amex.
