What Is The Salary Of A Police Officer

Well, the answer to that question is not a straight forward one; you see, in the United States every police department has its own range of salaries for its officers. For instance: the NYPD pays its officers salaries ranging from $44,794 to $90,829 per annum while the LAPD pays theirs $49,924 to $88,427 per year. Furthermore, senior officers ranging from detectives to deputy chiefs make considerably more than their uniformed comrades. Across the Atlantic, in the United Kingdom, police constables earn a minimum of £22,680 while chief inspectors earn a maximum of £53,919. Similarly, Australian entry level officers are paid a minimum of $49,151.
