Taiwanese Billionaire Brothers
The Wei Brothers are actually a group of four siblings who have an estimated net worth of $6.7 billion (combined). They founded Tingyi, the fastest growing beverage company in China and also the undisputed leader in Chinese flavored instant noodles.
Tingyi is listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and is responsible for almost 50% of the ready-to-drink tea business in China, 25% of the sales in bottled water and more than 50% of the sales in instant noodles. The products of Tingyi are sold under the brand – Master Kong – which is easily recognized by its icon of a chubby looking chef.
The Wei Brothers have also partnered with Pepsi in China and has invested heavily in real estate in Taiwan and the Mainland China. They also control the Dicos fried-chicken chain which operates more than 1,000 stores in China.
