Wallace McCain was a Canadian billionaire with an estimated net worth of $3.1 billion. Together with his brother Harrison McCain (deceased), Wallace founded one of the largest frozen food companies in the world, McCain Foods Limited. McCain Foods Limited was founded by the McCain brothers in the year 1956. Over the next several years, the family business had become a leader in the frozen food market.

Wallace McCain was born on 9th April, 1930 in Florenceville, New Brumswick. He died from pancreatic cancer on 13th May, 2011 at the age of 81. He had previously served as the board Chairman of the McCain Foods Limited. His son, Michael McCain is currently serving as the President and the Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
During his years as an active businessman, Wallace was honored for his contribution to the economy of the country. In the year 1995, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada for being among the most notable entrepreneurs in Atlantic Canada. In 2008, he was promoted to Companion. In the year 1993, Wallace was inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. Four years later, he was inducted into the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame. He was a loving husband to Margaret McCain, who is New Brunswick’s 1st female Lieutenant Governor.
