Thomas Strungmann, twin brother of Andreas, is a German pharmaceutical entrepreneur who has an estimated net worth of $3.4 billion. The journey began in 1986 when the two brothers founded the generic drug maker, Hexal AG. It slowly and surely tasted huge success and very soon it became Germany’s 2nd largest generic drug maker. However, in 2005, the two brothers decided to sell the company and their 2/3 rd stake in Eon Labs, which is in US, to Novartis for a pretty amount of $7.5 billion.
After the company was sold, Thomas invested in several biotech firms in Germany through Santo Holding & Athos Service GmbH. It is estimated that the two brothers have invested close to $900 million in various biotech firms. They have also set up a neuroscience research center in Frankfurt and named it after their father, Ernst Strungmann.
Of the twins, Thomas is said to be an extrovert and more approachable than Andreas. He has a huge and exquisite collection of modern art pieces and beautiful Swiss watches. He, like Andreas, stays in Tegernsee (Germany) with his wife and four children.
