Teddy Sagi is the founder and 49% owner of Playtech PLC. Which is a gaming software development company headquartered in The Isle of Man. The company provides software for online casinos, poker rooms, sports betting, scratch games and bingo games.
They also focus on mobile gaming, fixed odds arcade games and live dealer games. The company was floated on The London Stock Exchange in 2006 at a value of £550 million. It is currently listed in The London Stock Exchange and is also a constituent of The FTSE 250 Index. Playtech acquired private assets from Sagi for $250 million and in 2011 bought Sagi’s PT Turnkey services.
After the sale of betting subsidiary William Hill Online for $700 million in 2013, the shares in Playtech rose by nearly 30%. The company also invested $60 million to purchase 3% of London based Landbrokes, which is another betting company. He also owns TradeFX a company that runs Markets.com and Safecharge, which is an online payments company.
His real estate interests are in London, Tel Aviv and Berlin and he is considered a guru in the field of online gambling. He is worth an estimated $1.8 billion.
