Every nation that has extra cash seems to want to out build each other and have the tallest building. We all know that the Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest building in the world. But what we are also interested here in WorldsRichPeople.com is to know the cost of this building. Well, as the title of this page says, yes...it costs a whopping $1.5 Billion to erect this building. 

Standing at 829.8 m or 2,722 ft, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest man made structure in the world. Adrian Smith was the chief architect while Bill Baker is the chief structural engineer. Office space in the Burj costs US$4,000 per sq ft or over US$43,000 per m².  The Armani Residences in Burj Khalifa, sold for US$3,500 per sq ft or over US$37,500 per m². The fountain system outside of the Burj costs $217 Million to build. It features a fountain that shoots water 150 m (490ft) into the air illuminted with 6,600 lights and 50 coloured projectors.
