Famous around the world for his music style, Steven Tyler was born with the name of Steven Tallarico. As a child, his father exposed him to classical music and was a well-known classical musician in his own right. Once Tyler reached adulthood, he created the band, Aerosmith in 1969. By 1972, Aerosmith signed on with Columbia Records. Through this record label, Aerosmith released a total of 14 studio albums. Out of these albums, nine became platinum certified once or several times. Eight different singles have been top ten hits in the Billboard charts.
