Sir Anwar Pervez is one of the most successful Asians in the United Kingdom. He is the chairman of Bestway Limited and Bestway Cement in Pakistan. Sir Anwar is the Deputy Chairman of United Bank Limited and the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bestway Foundation in the United Kingdom. Sir Anwar became an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1992. He is a supporter of United Kingdom Charity, a Trustee of Crimestoppers and Memorial Gates Trust.
Sir Anwar moved to Britain from Pakistan at the age of 21years after completing his High school education and started working as a bus conductor in Bradford. He later opened up his first shop in Earls Court and many others followed as he tried to attract more buyers and make more sales. Sir Anwar’s, continued success in the business and concern for his customers made him to shift to wholesale business. Through his business, he was able to integrate well with the local community and other retailers who bought goods from his wholesale shops.
