Born in Nepal, Shesh Ghale and Jamuna Gurung have residency within Melbourne, Australia. According to news reports, the couple was previously listed as the 180th richest person in all of Australia. Currently, their fortune encompasses about $232 million. Ghale serves as the CEO of the Melbourne Institute of Technology while his wife is a managing director.

Together, the couple manages numerous commercial properties in the region. They started MIT in 1996 following their expatriation from Nepal. Since that time, the university has grown to serve more than 3,000 students every year. Most of Shesh Ghale and Jamuna Gurung's wealth is due to their creation of the Melbourne Institute of Technology. Their earnings come from the education market and commercial properties.
One property, the 1920s Argus building, was bought by the couple for $15 million. After purchasing the property, the husband and wife team transformed it into a college campus worth an estimated $50 million. The couple is currently making plans for a $450 million hotel and rental property. It will be close to the Queen Victoria market and is expected to have two towers. If this plan goes through, it will be come the largest development in Melbourne's Flagstaff Gardens.
