Sheldon Solow is an American real estate magnate who has an estimated net worth of $3.6 billion. He was born in 1929 to Jewish parents. After finishing high school, he attended New York University, but later dropped out from the institution. Together with Gordon Bunshaft, they built a 50-storey office building at 9 West 57th Street. The building has long been considered a desirable location mostly because of its perfect views of Central Park. Solow also owns a substantial art collection including Boticelli young “man holding a medallion”, sculpture by Giacometti as well as paintings by Balthus among others.He sold his Mistress Jeanne Hebuterne Amedeon Modigliani’s portrait for $42 million in 2013. The 85-year old Solow is married with two children.
