Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin is an American internet entrepreneur and computer scientist, who was born in August 21, 1973, in Moscow Russia. He is the co-founder of Google, which is the most popular and successful search engine in the world. In its annual issue, Forbes Magazine listed him as the 19th richest person in the world with a net worth of $31.8 billion as of March 2014.
Awards and Recognition
Along with Larry Page, Brin was named among the top 100 innovators in the world below 35 years of age. This recognition was made by the MIT Technology Review TR100 in 2002. A year later, both Brin and his founding partner were awarded an honorary MBA from IE Business School for personifying the entrepreneurial spirit and providing momentum to the conception of new businesses.
The duo was granted the Academy of Achievement’s Golden Plate award in 2004. In 2005, Brin became an inductee of the National Academy of Engineering, which is considered to be one of the highest professional distinctions awarded to an engineer. Later that year, Brin and Page were ranked fifth in the list of the most powerful people in the world by Forbes Magazine.

Brin is currently separated from his wife Anne Wojcicki, whom he married in May 2007. The two have a son and a daughter born in 2008 and 2011 respectively. In August 2013, an announcement was made stating that Brin and Wojcicki were living separately. The two, however, still run The Brin Wojcicki Foundation.
