Samuel Moore "Sam" Walton was a businessman/entrepreneur born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. He is best known for founding Wal-Mart and Sam's Club, and for being one of richest Americans with $65 billion. Walton was born on March 29th, 1918 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, and was married to Helen Walton. They had four kids named Alice, S. Robson, Jim and John Walton.

He studied his business degree in the University of Missouri. He died on April 5, 1992 in Little Rock, Arkansas, at age 74. The news of his death reached via satellite a total of 1,960 Wal-Mart stores. His company hired around 380,000 people during that time. Wal-Mart was having annual sales (or earnings) of $50 billion from 13 of its supercenters, 212 Sam’s Clubs, and 1735 Wal-Mart stores. Walton died, but almost 20 years later each one of his four kids has a net worth of over $25 billion. Wal Mart is the nation's largest retailer and largest employer with 2.1 million workers and annual revenues of $422 billion, as of today.
