Born on July 30, 1948, Roberto Angelini Rossi is an engineer and billionaire in Chile. He grew up as an only son. As an adult, he married an architect called Ana Maria Amadori. Together, the couple had four children. In his professional life, Roberto Angelini Rossi started with a civil engineering degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.
After he graduated, he began to work at a fishing plant in Chile in 1976. Following this, he switched to working with the Angelini Group. The Angelini Group was started by his uncle and operated as a family business. Roberto Angelini Rossi served in different executive roles before he took a position on the board of directors.
Since starting work at the Angelini Group, Roberto Angelini Rossi took over a leading role in the company and currently has the largest share of the holdings out of any family member. The Angelini group currently makes investments in minerals, fishing, mining and natural gas.
It is publicly traded and has spent the last decade growing drastically. It purchased a eucalyptus mill in Uruguay and a 59 percent stake in the gasoline distributor, Proenergia. Through these different dealings, Roberto Angelini Rossi has managed to garner a total net worth of $1.2 billion.
