Making a list of the richest violinists in the world was never an easy task. Countless hours of scouring over the web proved pretty futile (not entirely) as never had such a list been attempted before. Nevertheless, a list has been compiled and here’s to hoping it does justice for the handful number of violin enthusiasts!

Boyd Tinsler is the World’s Richest Violinist with a net worth of $50 million. He has accumulated most of his fortune by being a member of the popular Dave Matthews Band. The man bears a close resemblance to wrestler Booker T.

He is also talented with other instruments such as Electric Violin, Viola, Mandolin and the Guitar. Raised in a musical family, Boyd became a violinist by accident. When he signed up for an orchestra class in middle school, he thought he would be learning to play the guitar.

In 1991, Dave Matthews was so impressed by Boyd’s violin rendition on the song Tripping Balls that he told him to join the band. The rest is history.
