He owns properties in his native Spain as well as in the U.S. and Britain.

The family of Liliane Bettencourt, 90, is Europe’s second richest.  The French family owns cosmetics giant L’Oreal which was founded by her father. Forbes ranks Battencourt, who now suffers from dementia, as the world’s richest woman.
