Ray Romano Net Worth $120 Million
Everybody Loves Raymond. Despite being the title of a sitcom that made it synonymous with him for obvious reasons, Ray Romano has done it all in the entertainment business. He is an Emmy Award winning actor, stand-up comedian, voice actor and screenwriter. His life began in New York when he was born to Lucia and Albert Romano in 1957. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1975 and joined Queens College to study accounting before dropping out and later returning to finish up.
His career would begin when he participated in The Johnny Walker Comedy Search in 1989 and since then, he has appeared in Comedy Central, Star Search and The Late Show with David Letterman, which formed his ties with CBS. These ties gave rise to him being the star of his own television show Everybody Loves Raymond. The show earned him five Emmy Award nominations, three Screen Actors Guild Award nominations and two Golden Globe Award nominations. The show also provided inspiration for the title of fellow comedian Chris Rock’s television show Everybody Hates Chris.
Since then, he has appeared in several television shows, game contests and documentaries. His voice acting career is characterized by his role in the critically acclaimed movie Ice Age where he played the lead character Manfred “Manny” the mammoth. He was subsequently nominated for a Kid’s Choice Award twice. His characteristic nasal voice made him an almost perfect voice for the character. He has written for a number of shows including Men of a Certain Age and some episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond.
He married his wife Anna in 1987 and they have four children: Alexandra, Matthew, Gregory and Joseph Raymond. His daughter Alexandra has appeared on Everybody Loves Raymond several times as a friend to his on-screen daughter. An apparent family man, Ray Romano has an estimated net worth of $120 million.
