Ragib Ali is a prominent Bangladeshi entrepreneur, tea-planter, educationist, industrialist, banker and philanthropist. He currently serves as the Chairman of Sylhet Tea Company Ltd, and also holds various posts on several other tea estates in the region and in Chittagong. He also serves as the Managing Director of Kohinoor Industries Ltd, as well as the Managing Director of TLRA Holdings Ltd.

Ali also serves as the Chairman of Southeast Bank Limited. Besides that, he has been actively involved in various charitable activities and has set up many educational institutions and trusts. Among the various institutions that Ali has founded is the Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College. He also served as the Chairman of North South University Foundation for some time, and he was also the establisher of University of Asia Pacific and Leading University.
He has also been a major contributor in numerous schools, and has established various colleges in his home country, Bangladesh. His business endeavors have earned him an incredible fortune of $250 million, most of his wealth deriving from his tea plantation business. This self-made billionaire was born on October 10, 1938 and moved to the United Kingdom in 1956 with the aim of furthering his education. He is married to Begum Rabeya Khatun Chowdhury.
