Petr Kellner Net Worth $10.5 Billion
Born on May 20, 1964, Petr Kellner grew up in the Czech Republic. As a student, he attended the University of Economics in Prague and graduated by 1986. Following the Velvet Revolution, he ended up working as a salesman and importer of photocopiers. While there, he met two businessmen who would play a role in his future. By 1991,
the government announced that they were going to privatize Czech businesses. Following this, Petr Kellner set up a fund that investors could purchase as stock. In total, the fund encompassed the stock of more than 200 different companies.
By 1996, PPF had managed to successfully buy a 20 percent share in the Czech Republic's biggest insurance company. Through this investment, Keller was able to earn enough of a profit to buy back the remaining vouchers in the privatized fund. This caused him to become the majority shareholder in PPF. By 2007, PPF created a joint venture with Assicurazioni Generali and Petr Kellner was placed on the Board of Directors. Presently, Kellner personally owns 94.36 percent of PPF and is the 224th richest man in the world. In total, he has an accumulated net worth that is estimated to be at $10.5 billion.
