Paolo Rocca and Gianfelice Mario Rocca are Italian brothers and heirs to the Techint Group. With a net worth of $6.3 billion, they are ranked 8th among Italy’s wealthiest people. They are the grandsons of Agostino Rocca the founder of the Techint Group an international conglomerate that is composed ofTenaris & Ternium (steel tubes & related products manufacturers), Techint Engineering & Construction, Tenova (services to the mining industry), Tecpetrol (oil and gas exploration) and Humanitas (hospitals).
The group as a whole boasts of close to 60,000 thousand employees around the world and an annual turnover of more than $25 billion. Sixty-six year old Gianfelice is the elder of the two brothers and is the President of the Humanitas Group while sixty-one year old Paolo is the CEO of the Techint Group.
The Roccas established the Roberto Rocca Education Program that is aimed at providing tertiary level scholarships and fellowships to needy but deserving students in countries in which Techint Group operates. Its main sponsors are Tenaris, Ternium and Techint Group. Gianfelice is an ardent mountaineer and has taken part in several expeditions including one to the unexplored Cerro Torre in Patagonia (South America). The brothers reside in Argentina.
