She gained critical acclaim for her lead role in the movie Thirteen. Only 14, she co-wrote the screenplay with Catherine Hardwicke. The movie was a loosely based autobiographical film about Reed’s experience as a 13 year old. Since then, she has gone on to act in the Twilight franchise reprising the role of Rosalie Hale in all the Twilight movies. She has also acted in the movies Lords of Dogtown, Mini’s First Time etc. She married the American Idol contestant Paul McDonald on October 16, 2011.  They called it quits in March 2014 stating work obligations as their primary reason for separation. She is a huge fan of Liam Neeson and is close friends with Evan Rachel Wood and her Twilight co-stars.
