Michael “Mike D” Diamond was born in New York, U.S. on November 25, 1965 and has an estimated net worth of $75 million. Michael went to school in Vassar College before dropping out in pursuit of a music career. This bore fruits as he became one of the most successful American musician, songwriter as well as rapper.
As a co-founding member of The Young Aborigines band back in 1979 (the group later became the Beastie Boys and began to transition towards the hip hop industry) alongside Adam Yauch, John Berry and Kate Schellenbach, Michael Diamond and his group released their first album called Licensed to III in 1986. In addition, this band has received an array of nominations in the Grammy Awards and has won three of them, including 2008’s Best Pop Instrumental Album for “The Mix Up”.
Outside of his celebrity life, Michael Diamond is a married family man with two children (Skyler and Davis Diamond) from a more than 20 years marriage with film, TV and music video director Tamra Davis. Mike D is also an enthusiast of interior design.
