Michael Lee-Chin is a Canadian entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He is the Chairman of Portland Holdings Inc., a privately-owned investment company that he founded. The company owns a number of diversified operating companies in sectors such as tourism, financial services, media and health care telecommunications. Lee-Chin has an estimated net worth of $2.0 billion, which makes him one of the wealthiest people in Canada.

Besides being the Chairman of Portland Holdings Inc., Lee-Chin also serves as the Executive Chairman of the Canadian mutual fund, AIC Limited. He acquired the company in 2007, but sold it 2 years later to Manulife. He is also the Executive Chairman of the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica. He also serves as the Chancellor of Wilfrid Laurier University.
In addition to that, Lee-Chin is also a renowned philanthropist who has contributed handsomely to various projects and charities. In 2003, this self-made billionaire made headlines when he made a donation of $30 million to the Royal Ontario Museum.
