Marc Anthony Net Worth $40 Million
Marc Anthony is a singer, actor, record producer, and television personality estimated to be worth $40 million. He grew up in East Harlem, New York under the care of his parents, Guillermina and Felipe Muniz.
He was named after a Mexican singer but later changed his name to avoid confusion between him and Marco Antonio Muñiz. He is most notable for his music career and is constantly referred to as the Michael Jackson of Spanish music. He kicked off his career as a lyricist and back-up vocalist. In no time, he launched his own Spanish-language album which was different from the freestyle and house genre he was accustomed to.
His second album Todo a Su Tiempo put him on the map and earned him his first Grammy nomination. His subsequent albums have continued to top the charts. His remarkable singing has seen him sell over 30 million albums worldwide.
Anthony has dabbled in acting and has landed supporting roles in films such as The substitute, Big Night, Hackers among others. He starred along other A-list Hollywood actors to produce critically acclaimed films including Man On Fire opposite Denzel Washington and El Cantante opposite his former wife Jennifer Lopez.
Anthony also guest mentored in the reality TV show The X Factor in season II. He is yet to pull an Oscar-worthy performance, but his acting career looks promising.
Away from singing and acting, Marc has also showcased his production skills by working as a music producer on the show, Hawthorne. He is also a philanthropist. He made a generous donation to Children’s Health Fund’s Operation Assist after Hurricane Katrina, and called out to his fans to chip in as well.
He also started a non-profit foundation, Maestro Cares, in cahoots with his entrepreneur friend Henry Cardenas. It aims at building orphanages in Latin America and the Caribbean.
