Malcolm Glazer is an American entrepreneur who is based in New York. He currently has a net worth of $4.4 billion, and is considered as one of the wealthiest people in the United States. He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the First Allied Corporation, a holding company that focuses on ownership, leasing and management of community and neighborhood shopping centers in the U.S.
He owns and is the majority shareholder of various international holdings as well as public companies including Specialty Equipment, Tonka, Formica, Omega Protein, Harley Davidson, Zapata Corporation, First Allied and Houlihan’s Restaurant Chain. In addition to that, Glazer is also the owner of the world-renowned soccer team, Manchester United F.C. of the English Premier League.
He purchased the English Premier League soccer power house at $1.4 billion a decade ago. He is also the owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He purchased the franchise on January, 1995, after the death of its former owner, Hugh Culverhouse.
