Johanna Quandt claim to fame lies in the fact that she is the 3rd wife of Herbert Quandt, the renowned German executive who is remembered for saving BMW from bankruptcy. She has inherited the fortune from her late husband and as per Forbes estimates, she has a net worth of $10.6 billion. She presently owns almost 17% of the auto giant although she has removed herself from the supervisory board way back in 1997.
Johanna Quandt is known for being quite a philanthropist as she has actively supported various child cancer facilities and research centers.
