Jimmy Buffett is an American musician, writer, actor and businessman. He was born to Mary Lorraine and James Buffett Jr. He played musical instruments from an early age, starting with the trombone in grade school and guitar as a student at Auburn University.
He started his singing career as a country artist where he developed an easygoing character, which has been associated with him to date. He referred to his musical style as Drunken Caribbean Rock and Roll due to the influence of tropical Caribbean sounds and Country Funk.
