John Charles Layfield is a retired American professional wrestler. He is famous with his ring name John “Bradshaw” Layfield or JBL. He has a net worth of $9 Million. JBL won the WWE Heavyweight title from Eddie Guerro in June 2004 and was recognized as the longest reigning WWE Champion in 10 years till April 2005. 

He is also the longest reigning WWE champion in WWE Smackdown! in 1999. He was a multiple WWF Tag Team title holder along with Ron Simmons. JBL was the former WWE European champion and former World Tag team champion. He also won the United States Championship from Chris Benoit at WrestleMania 22. From 1979 up to 1999, JBL was ranked as #496 in the PWI 500. 

Before his wrestling career, JBL played football for Abeline Christian University playing his last two years with a broken leg. He also played pro football for the Los Angeles Raiders.

After a brief but well-paying stint in the National Football League, he nearly went bankrupt so he has decided to study stock trading. Fortunately, he was successful in the stock market that he often advice other WWE Superstars on their financial situation.

JBL is the CEO of Nutritionmarket.com, Five Stone and Layfield Energy. He was the part-time analyst for the Fox news Channel but left for CNBC yet it lasted only three weeks before he was fired.  JBL is now the new color commentator for WWE Smackdown! and a published author.
