Iqbal Ahmed (popularly known as “King Prawn” or “Mr. Shrimp”) is a Bangladeshi-born entrepreneur who is currently based in Manchester, England, UK. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Seamark Group, which is a frozen food processing company. He also owns another company known as Ibco, which is a supplier to the catering trade. The success of his 2 companies have propagated him into becoming one of the richest people in the United Kingdom, as well as one of the wealthiest people from Bangladesh.

In fact, he is the highest British-Bangladeshi to be featured on the Sunday Times Rich List. His current net worth is estimated to be $250 million. Ahmed and his Manchester-based empire has £200 million revenues across the city, with a workforce of over two-thousand in Bangladesh. The self-made millionaire also owns a hotel development, a Thai restaurant and bar known as Vermilion and Cinnabar, which is worth more than £5 million.
