Jerry Yang has made a difference to the world by being the co-founder of Yahoo! Inc. The Taiwanese born Jerry has a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the esteemed Stanford University. He is reportedly worth a cool $2 Billion. It was during his time in college when he stumbled onto David Filo and found Yahoo! Inc. Soon after, the popularity of the website soared and they took leaves from the University to further the development of Yahoo! Inc.

Investors, including Carl Icahn criticized the man and wanted him to step down. Jerry Yang finally stepped down and he was succeeded by Carol Bartz as the new CEO. 

The man is married to his college sweetheart. The couple met in the Kyoto Overseas program at Stanford University in 1992. His wife, Akiko Yamazaki is of Japanese origin and was brought up in Costa Rica. Like Jerry, she too graduated from Stanford University.

She holds a degree in industrial engineering and is part of the Wildlife Conservation Network as a director. The couple has donated $75 million to Stanford University for the establishment of the Jerry Yang and Akiko Yamazaki Environment and Energy Building.  Currently, the man is on the Board of Directors of the Asian Pacific Fund and Cisco.
