Apparently, he has $3.9 Billion and a towering ego
Donald Trump is a name synonymous with big bucks, a towering ego and of course, the catch phrase “you’re fired.” He was born in 1946, in New York where he grew up with his four siblings. His interest in business saw him graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968.
Trump broke into the business radar when he joined his father’s company: The Trump Organization. Trump has often been quoted saying his father has been a key figure in his success as a real estate mogul. In 1971, he left the nest and moved to Manhattan to pursue his real estate ventures. His business savvy nature saw him become the “Manhattan dealmaker.” It wasn’t long before Trump built the grandiose Trump tower. The 58-story-building earned him global recognition with celebrities and renowned business moguls flocking the New York skyscraper.
His streak of success compelled him to acquire the Taj Mahal Casino a move that saw him become bankrupt in 1990 and later got divorced by his wife. Trump was suddenly on the skids but managed to make a spectacular comeback, which saw him write the book “The Art of Comeback.”
In 2004, Donald Trump together with Mark Burnett Productions produced the reality TV show The Apprentice a show that propelled him to fame and took him to the pinnacle of success. It became the most watched reality show garnering 20.7 million viewers in its first season.
