In a world ruled by entertainment, we cannot help but wonder what our favorite actresses or actors are doing. We want to know about their lives and their pockets. Today I’m going to bring you up to date about the top 10 highest paid actors of last year.
1. Robert Downey Jr.
Starting out on our list is Robert Downey Jr. At the end of 2013, the Actor was said to have made over $75 million. With box office hits like the Avengers and Iron Man on his resume, this privileged actor has made a name for himself that no one will forget. The actor who is about to turn 49 this April has captured the attention of millions of young women half his age. Who says life deteriorates when you get older? Robert Downey Jr. certainly proves us wrong.
2. Ashton Kutcher
Riding behind Mr. Downey is Ashton Kutcher. While he isn’t grossing as much as the other actors on our list, earning more than $24 million dollars at the end of 2013, Mr. Kutcher is one of TV’s highest paid actors, coming in at number 1. His role on “Two and a Half Men”, in which he replaced actor Charlie Sheen, has earned him one of the top spots. He is set to earn more than $750,000 per episode next year on the television show, making him a top contender for a spot on our list next year.
3. Channing Tatum
Mr. Tatum tops our list at number three. Grossing over $60 million last year, the actor turned a self-financed movie venture, based on his past, Magic Mike, into a growing business worth millions.
4. Hugh Jackman
Mr. Jackman took home a whopping $55 million last year. It wasn’t the popular character Wolverine that brought him home the bacon, it was his role in the musical Les Miserables and his coffee and tea business, that earned him one of the top spots this year.
5. Mark Wahlberg
Mark brought home a cool $52 million at the end of last year. He has the success of the movie Ted, in which he played one of the main characters, to thank for this spot. The movie was about a man and his childhood teddy bear growing up together, and eventually learning how to fair in the world apart.
6. Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne Johnson, better known as WWE’s The Rock, tops our list at number 6. He earned $46 million last year, thanks to his featured roles on Fast & Furious, and G.I. Joe. Mr. Johnson is set to earn even more bank rolls this year, as he ventures off into the world of production with his new show titled, “Hero.”
7. Leonardo DiCaprio
Coming in at number seven is the handsome Leonardo DiCaprio. At the end of last year, he was said to have made a whopping $39 million dollars. He starred in featured films such as “The Great Gatsby”,”Django Unchained”, and “The Wolf of Wall Street.” The major success of “Django Unchained” earned the actor a nomination for the MTV Movie Awards and the Golden Globes. The Great Gatsby earned him a Teen Choice Award, and his role in “The Wolf of Wall Street” earned him several awards and nominations which include a Golden Globes Award for best performance by an actor in a motion picture-musical or comedy.
8. Adam Sandler
Coming in at no, eight, is actor Adam Sandler, who earned $37 million last year. He starred in the movie Jack and Jill, and Hotel Transylvania. Hotel Transylvania, an animated film about Dracula’s conquest to keep his daughter from falling in love with an ordinary traveler, earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination, and a Kids Choice Award.
9. Tom Cruise
Playing character Jack Reacher earned Mr. Cruise a spot on our top ten list, earning him $35 million last year.
10. Denzel Washington
Every mothers leading man, Denzel made the list of top grossing actors. At the end of 2013 the Actor brought home $33 million.
Not all actors are as successful as the stars we mention above. Sometimes it could be years before anyone notices an actor for his worth, but the ones who make it are definitely paid extremely well for their skills and determination.
