Herb Alpert Net Worth $250 Million
Herbert Alpert is an American songwriter, artist, and philanthropist. He was born in 1935 in Los Angeles. Herb’s deep interest in music stemmed from his musical background. His father was a mandolin player, and his mother taught violin; by the age of eight, he had learnt to play the trumpet. Herb’s fame rose in the 1960s with his band Tijuana Brass.
In 1962, he co-founded the record label A&M. It became one of the most sort out and successful record labels in Hollywood. The Tijuana Brass was not short of success either; it became the most popular band in the 1960s. Herb Alpert has received several accolades and awards for his contribution to music; he was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 together with his partner Jerry Moss.
Besides singing, he has tried his hand in painting. In 1989, he unveiled his first exhibition, which proved to be successful. The multi-talented singer continues to leave his mark in the world with the Herb Alpert foundation, which seeks to help young people reach their full potential.
Herb is also a skilled dancer or at least he thought, until he met his wife who proved to him that he had rhythm but well…not much groove. Albert will be receiving the REDCAT award on March 15th 2014. The award recognizes people who have made a contribution in culture and contemporary arts. The award winning artist has an estimated worth of $250 million.
