Frank Ocean's Net Worth Is $3 Million
Born on October 28, 1987, Frank Ocean's birth name was Christopher Francis Breaux. He began working as a ghostwriter on songs for artists like Brandy and Justin Bieber. By 2010, he embarked on a music career as a part of the hip hop band, Odd Future. The release of songs like “Novacane” were on the Billboard charts and were critically acclaimed. When the BBC conducted a Sound of 2012 poll, Frank Ocean was ranked second.
As a solo artist, he released a debut album titled, “Channel Orange”. On this album, three singles managed to reach the charts. During his childhood, Ocean grew up in Long Beach, California. At the age of five, he moved to New Orleans with his family. Surrounded by a vibrant jazz scene, he listened to songs by Anita Baker and Celine Dion in his youth. By working odd jobs during his teenage years, he managed to save up enough money to rent time in a studio. He went on to attend University of New Orleans.
Unfortunately, Hurricane Katrina hit the area and he was forced to switch to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Hurricane Katrina also destroyed his recording studio. This forced Frank Ocean to move to Los Angeles to find a recording studio. Although he just intended to stay for a few weeks, he chose to stay longer and network with people in the music industry. He managed to strike a songwriting deal and worked with top artists. The first music video he appeared in was the single “She” for Tyler, the Creator. He later went on tour with Odd Future along the east coast of the United States. Since that start, he has recorded with Def Jam Recordings and created digital tracks. Altogether, he has accumulated a total net worth of $3 million.
