Born under the name Eithne Ni Bhraonain, Enya is a native to Ireland. She is famous for her work as a singer and instrumentalist. Many of the songs that she has released were personally written by her. Born on May 17, 1961, Enya has appeared on television and in film soundtracks. She received her start with the band, Clannad, in the 1980s. Although this band was known for playing traditional Irish music, Enya would adopt a more synthesized sound.
