David & Simon Ruben are brothers with a net worth of $10.5 billion. The two brothers are philanthropists and businessmen and self-made billionaires. They were raised in the UK initially each having his own career. David was a metal trader and Simon was in the import business. They later merged to form Trans-World Group which did so well turning to be the third largest metal producers in the world. This was after they bought more than half of the Russian aluminum industries.
In early 2000, many western investors were challenged by the Russian business climate where David and Simon took the advantage and invested in the UK property market. They turned the Mayfair estate of famed ‘In and Out’ club into luxuries residents and wine cellars which by then were the most expensive concealed residences in the whole of UK. In additional to real estate, they also own GlobalSwitch, which is a data centre business extending throughout Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong. They have also acquired control of 48% of horse- racing in the UK.
Being great philanthropists, they founded a foundation known as the Reuben Foundation which funds healthcare and also offers university scholarships to inner-city children. David is 72 years old while Simon is the younger one with 69 years. They are both married with children.
