Condoleezza Rice, born in Birmingham Alabama on the 14th of November 1954, earned her BA degree in political science in 1974 at the University of Denver. She got her master's degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame in 1975 and the doctorate in political science from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver in 1981. After Rice graduated she accepted a position as a professor of political science at Stanford University.
She served at the Joint Chiefs of Staff as an advisor in 1987, and was appointed director of Soviet and East European Affairs on the National Security Council in 1989. In 2001, she was chosen as the National Security Advisor by President Bush, and was the first African-American woman Secretary of State and the 66th in 2005 where she served for four years leaving in 2009.While there, she advocated for the idea of redistributing United States diplomats to areas that had severe social as well as political trouble with issues like disease, drugs and human trafficking.
Her net worth is $4 million and among her achievements is successfully negotiating agreements in the Middle East, the opening of the Gaza border and improvement of human rights in Iran. She was behind the signing of an agreement between the U.S. and India allowing civil trade between the two countries in 2008.
