With an estimated net worth of $1.5 million, Chief Keef is known for his work as a rap artist. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 15, 1995. As a young adult, he was placed under house arrest due to unlawful weapon use. After he was put on house arrest, he began to create YouTube videos that featured some of his rap songs. Before long, these videos started to accumulate a significant number of hits. Once this happened, Chief Keef made mixed tapes and created music videos to go with the music. According to the Interscope deal, the contract can be canceled if his first album does not manage to sell at least 250,000 copies.
Chief Keef was given the birth name, Kieth Cozart. His mother was only 16 at his birth and Cozart also had his first daughter at 16. Although he is estranged from his father, he remains close to his cousins. As a youth, a grew up in the South Side of Chicago within the Englewood neighborhood. By May of 2013, Chief Keef had changed his record label to Gucci Mane. This was followed by the release of the mixed tape, Bang Part 2. Unfortunately, this tape received a mixed response and did not sell as highly as people expected.
