Carlos Rodriguez Pastor is a Peruvian businessman who has a net worth of $3.4 billion. He has acquired a huge wealth by selling quality financial services to Latin America. In 1968 Carlos and his family decided to flee Peru as there was a political coup and they ended up in California. His father worked as the CEO of the Peruvian Central Bank. The family made California their home and Carlos started attending classes in the University of California.
Carlos completed his MBA from Dartmouth College and started working in Wall Street. In 1994 Carlos Rodriguez Pastor and his family went back to Peru. In the same year, his father Carlos Sr purchased Banco Internacional del Peru but, unfortunately, he died in 1995. Shortly afterwards, Carlos started working as the head of the bank which his father had acquired. He then decided to invest the profits of the bank in various businesses.
In 1998 Carlos founded a private equity firm based in Panama known as the Nexus Group. In 2013 this company bought San Miguel Industrial which is the world’s largest producer of PET. The firm also has made huge investments in hotels, departmental stores, schools, restaurants & universities. In 2011 he launched InRetail, a private holding firm that has investments in malls and supermarkets, In 2012 the firm decided to go public and the company raised $400 million. Carlos resides in Lima with his wife and they have 6 children.
