Carl was born in Helsingborg and was educated at the University of Gothenburg. After completing his education he started to work at the Kockums finance department which was located in Malmo. He actually founded Carl Bennet AB in 1989 which has helped him to own stakes in various companies across industries like investing, dental products, forestry & biomedical research. Most of these investments are quite bankable and has contributed to the accumulation of his wealth.
Carl Bennet had run the Getinge group for nearly 10 years along with his fellow investor, Rune Andersson. They were instrumental in reviving Getinge from a money losing position but the duo parted ways after nearly a decade. Bennet is still the Chairman of Getinge and owns 1/5th of the company.
