Peter Gene Hernandez, popular by his stage name Bruno Mars is a singer, song writer and record producer. Bruno Mars was born on 8th October, 1985, as the son of Peter Hernandez and Bernadette San Pedro Bayot in Honolulu, Hawaii. Belonging to a music family, Mars started singing at a young age of four. He started performing with his family band, The Love Notes, in concerts and was known as Elvis Presley in the locality. The earlier part of his singing career was spent impersonating Elvis, something which helped him throughout his career. He decided to leave for Los Angeles and start a career as a professional when he graduated from his high school.
