Bertil Hult is a Swedish businessman who has an estimated net worth of $4.1 billion. He is the founder of EF Education First, the educational & language school company. Under his able leadership he has turned the company into a billion dollar corporation which employs more than 54,000 employees across 54 countries. He was the CEO of the company till 2002 and served as the Chairman till 2008. At present, he leads a semi-retired life.
The company was founded by Bertil at the age of 23 in his university dormitory at Lund. The company was mainly started by him for the Swedish high school students who were eager to learn English for higher studies in England. The company is fully owned by Bertil Hult & his family. The company was chosen as the official language trainer of the ’08 Beijing Summer Olympic Games.
Bertil has been actively involved with a number of charities that fights substance abuse and promote education among dyslexia students. He also supports the Bertil Hult prize which is given to a Swedish school every year for their contribution to dyslexia education. In 2010 he loaned his yacht and private jet to the Swedish prince & princess for their honeymoon. Bertil is married and is father of four and prefers to stay in Lucerne.
