Bernard Arnault's Net Worth Is $29 Billion
Bernard Arnault is the 2nd richest person in France with a net worth of $29 billion. He is the chairman and CEO of the renowned luxury group conglomerate LVMH which has brands like De Beers, Thomas Pink, Bvlgari and Louis Vuitton. In his early life he failed in almost every business attempt in the US which propelled him to return back to France.
Arnault’s tryst with business started as early as 1971 soon after he graduated from college. He joined his father’s company but very soon he persuaded his father to get rid of the construction business and concentrate more on real estate. This gamble paid off and in no time he was heading his own company selling luxury condos in Miami. When he came back to France, he became the CEO of Christian Dior, a luxury brand. In 1987 LVMH was started and he became more successful than ever.
It would be wrong to assume that Bernard Arnault is all about money making and business as he has a keen interest in art collection also. He has sponsored many art exhibitions in France featuring abstract paintings and modern art. It is a welcome departure from the common notion that we have that a businessmen cannot be an art connoisseur.
