Alberto Roemmers is an Argentine billionaire who serves as the president of Laboratorios Roemmers, which is the largest pharmaceutical group in Argentina. The pharmaceutical group was founded in 1921 by his father. Roemmers also owns a stake in another pharmaceutical company known as Gador.
Besides having deep interest in the pharmaceutical industry, Roemmers also has an interest in the real estate industry as he has invested in a real estate project in Uruguay. He also produces olive oil in 3 different provinces in Argentina. His business endeavors have earned him a massive fortune of $1.1 billion. Even so, most of his wealth derives from the pharmaceuticals business, which is inherited and growing. His newly acquired billionaire status has earned him an entry to the Forbes Billionaire List. The magazine has listed him as the 5th richest person in Argentina, and the 1268th richest person in the world.
Alberto Roemmers, who is of German decent, was born in 1957. The Argentine billionaire is married to Hebe Colman, with whom he has four children named Alberto Junior, Alejandro, Pablo and Christian (deceased). Christian died in 1998 after he was involved in an accident while participating in a paragliding competition. Roemmers is also an avid art collector, and he particularly loves the works of Fernando Fader, who is a French-born Argentine impressionist painter.
