He previously served as a member of the Board of Quebecor from 1997 to 2009. Bouchard’s business career started when he was only 19 years old, when he worked at his brother’s franchised Perrette Store in Bois-des-Filion, Quebec. In the United States alone, Bouchard currently operates over 3,300 Circle K branded stores. His business has grown over the years and presently has a total of 12,000 stores including licensees. Couche-Tard is now a $23 billion convenient store giant through acquisition and moxie.
This self-made billionaire is planning to pass the company that is under construction to his two children. Alain Bouchard has a son, who has cerebral palsy and a daughter, who is anticipated to inherit the leadership of the company one day.
