Aamir Khan Net Worth Revealed

Widely known as the ‘perfectionist’, Aamir Khan is a hugely popular Indian actor who has a net worth of $180 million. He is an actor, producer and director who is known for his award-winning performances in Raja Hindustani & Lagaan.

He was also an integral part of ‘3 Idiots’- the highest grossing Hindi film of all time. In his film career he has received a number of awards and nominations including 4 National Film awards and 7 Filmfare Awards. In 2003 he was honoured with Padma Shri and in 2010 the Government of India conferred the Padma Bhushan on him. 

Aamir first appeared as a child actor in his Nasir Hussain’s film, Yaadon Ki Baarat. His 1st feature film role was in Holi (1984) but tasted huge commercial success with the tragic romance, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988.

He earned his first National Award for his performance in the thriller film, Raakh (1989). In the 1990s he established himself as one of the leading actors in Bollywood by featuring in some of the biggest commercial hits like Dil, Raja Hindustani & Sarfarosh. He was also praised for his role in the Indo-Canadian film, Earth. 

In 2001 Aamir Khan ventured into production and tasted success with his very first film, Lagaan. The film was nominated for an Academy Award in the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ category. Thereafter followed a 4 year hiatus from screen after which he returned with back-to-back hits, Fanaa and Rang De Basanti.

He won the Filmfare Award for the Best Director for his directorial debut film, Taare Zameen Par. He continued with his golden touch at the Box Office with commercial blockbusters like Ghajini (2008), 3 Idiots (2009) & Dhoom 3 (2013). He is also a well known humanitarian and has spoken on various sensitive social issues of India. He is married to Kiran Rao (2nd wife) and has 3 children.
